Welcome to my website.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. I hope we'll soon become good friends, because that's what I love to write about -- friends, family and faith.
I write contemporary novels about issues that cause women pain -- from infertility to infidelity to extreme loss. Then like the labor of childbirth I push through the pain to the point of deliverance. In the process I do all I can to induce laughter.
I hope you get lost between the pages of my books then come away glad for the time we've spent together. I know just how precious your time is. I'm honored that you would spend some of it with me.
Please check back from time to time for new releases and upcoming events. Oh, and I'd love to hear from you!
Blessings ~ Sharon K. Souza
Every Good & Perfect Gift
& Lying on Sunday
The publishing world is a fluid, ever-changing environment that affects authors and titles relentlessly. NavPress, the publisher of these two novels, is no longer publishing fiction -- which explains the long delay in my next release -- and has taken my books, as well as those of other fine novelists, out of print. They are still available at a few of the online sources mentioned on my site, but once those are sold they will no longer be available there. However, I have copies and you can purchase them directly from me. Just go to the Contact page and send me an email. We'll take it from there.
Writing News
I'm excited to announce that I was the 2009 recipient of the 2009 Steve Laube Writer of the Year Award at the Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference, along with my good friend Kathleen Popa. We were surprised, honored and thrilled! I was also excited to learn that Lying on Sunday is a finalist in the 2009 RWA Inspirational Reader's Choice Contest. Winners are announed July 15.

Novel Matters Partners with She Reads!
I'm thrilled to announce that Novel Matters, the blog I share with authors Bonnie Grove, Patti Hill, Kathleen Popa, Latayne Scott and Debbie Fuller Thomas, has partnered with She Reads, a blog affiliated with Proverbs 31 Ministries. She Reads connects readers who are passionate about great fiction and uplifting stories, and has more than 100 book clubs under their umbrella, all since launching their blog last September! She Reads directors, Ariel Lawhon and Marybeth Whalen, will take turns posting on Novel Matters the 2nd Monday each month; and we six authors of Novel Matters will take turns posting on She Reads every 2nd and 4th Friday each month. We anticipate great discussions between readers and writers, and hope you will join in.
Please add Novel Matters and She Reads to your "Favorites" folder and stop in from time to time to get better acquainted with me and my awesome colleagues.
